With a doctorate and masters in Business Administration from the University of Florida, Amber’s the brains-behind-the-scenes when it comes to ensuring the success of the Yoo family practice—overseeing the marketing, finances, strategic development and all aspects of running the business. Amber is passionate about crafting the “SKY Experience” for our patients - unparalleled customer service characterized by authenticity and a sense of family. "I'm thankful to be able to draw on my background to handle the business aspects of our growing practice," says Amber. "We have an amazing team and wonderful patients."
HER STORY
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Amber attended the University of Florida on a Bright Futures scholarship. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Business Administration and an outside area of specialization in Physics. As a student, Amber was a University Scholar conducting genomic research on Mycoplasma alligatoris for the College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2010, she completed a Masters in Business Administration and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma (highest honors) at the top of her class. In 2023, she earned a Doctorate in Business Administration, making her our second Dr. Yoo!
In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Amber was named a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business award. She was also selected as a finalist for San Diego Magazine's Woman of the Year award for 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023!
In 2017 and again in 2018 and 2019, she was honored by the University of Florida (UF) as an alumnus leading one of the top 100 fastest growing "Gator" companies.
GIVING BACK
"Giving back to the community is a huge part of who we are at SKY," says Amber. This in large part is due to Amber's professional background in the nonprofit world. She worked for Ryther Child Center, Seattle Humane Society, Humane Society Silicon Valley, and Privacy Rights Clearinghouse. She currently serves on the board of The Country Friends. She is also heavily involved with both Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary and the FACE Foundation.

Marie Aquino brings over two decades of aesthetic expertise to the SKY Facial Plastic Surgery team. As our Physician Assistant Aesthetic Specialist, Marie works closely with Dr. Yoo to provide comprehensive, personalized care to our patients. Her extensive knowledge of facial anatomy and advanced injection techniques perfectly complements Dr. Yoo's surgical expertise, allowing SKY to offer a full spectrum of facial rejuvenation options.
HER STORY
Marie's journey in aesthetics began at the prestigious USC Keck School of Medicine, where she graduated from the Physician Assistant program. Since 2001, she has dedicated her career to the art and science of facial aesthetics, continuously honing her skills and staying at the forefront of non-surgical rejuvenation techniques.
"What I love about SKY is the holistic approach we take to patient care," shares Marie. "We're not just focused on individual treatments, but on how we can enhance each patient's natural beauty and confidence. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that values both technical excellence and genuine patient connections."
Marie's approach aligns perfectly with SKY's philosophy of natural-looking results. She excels in creating subtle yet impactful transformations that leave patients feeling refreshed and confident. Her expertise spans a wide range of non-surgical treatments, from advanced injectable techniques to cutting-edge skin rejuvenation procedures.
"I'm thrilled to work alongside Dr. Yoo to complement his treatments and provide non-surgical options," Marie adds. "This collaboration allows us to offer our patients truly comprehensive care, tailored to their individual needs and goals."
Fun Fact: When she's not crafting beautiful transformations at SKY, Marie immerses herself in cultural experiences. She's an avid enthusiast of Broadway musical theatre, concerts, and art museums. Marie also enjoys participating in photographic art competitions, finding inspiration in visual artistry that informs her aesthetic approach.

Marie is passionate about using her skills to give back to the community. She volunteers at the Center for Community Solutions, supporting their vital work. Marie is also actively involved in ministry, demonstrating her commitment to service both within and beyond the aesthetic field. Through these efforts and her participation in SKY's charitable initiatives, Marie contributes to causes that promote health, wellness, and confidence in the San Diego community.

Sam oversees the surgery center, ensuring it runs smoothly for our surgery team and patients. Sam started out at SKY as our Receptionist! She quickly showed an incredible aptitude for attention to detail and consistency in her work. Sam showed a special interest in the surgery center and began learning how to assist with the instruments, autoclave and turning over the OR. When the surgical tech position became available, Sam jumped at the chance to be trained by Dr. Yoo. She quickly mastered that position, and now oversees the entire surgery center. "Working at SKY is a dream job because it allows me to make a difference in someone's life and truly create lasting connections and trust,” shares Sam. "The environment I contribute to reassures patients they came to the right place. I want every patient to feel like they are a part of our SKY Family.”
HER STORY
Before working at SKY, Sam worked for Lincoln College of Technology and Kaiser Health Insurance in Colorado. Her love for the ocean and family brought her back home to sunny San Diego. She has always had a passion for the medical field and making a difference peoples’ lives. One day she hopes to complete her degree and pursue a doctorate in Neurology. In the meantime, she is enjoying creating a positive impact in the San Diego community both at SKY and through volunteer service. Sam is also bilingual in Spanish and happy to assist any of our Spanish-speaking patients.
GIVING BACK
Sam is an alumna of Lambda Theta Nu Latina Interest Sorority, serving as the Community Service Chair for three years. Her lifelong dream is to go to third world countries and truly make a difference. She has worked with the Salvation Army, the Ronald McDonald House, Denver Homeless Shelter, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Her favorite volunteer trip was when she went to Guatemala to work in a school created by noble prize winner Rigoberta Menchu.

Lindy helps ensure the surgery experience runs smoothly for our patients. Lindy assists patients with scheduling surgery, communicates with the anesthesiologists and RNs regarding upcoming surgeries, provides support for the surgery team on surgery days, and is always there to reassure our patients in the early stages of recovery. Lindy goes above and beyond, even making personal recommendations for our out-of-town patients on where to eat and sight see. An “enthusiastic Botox patient” herself, Lindy’s loves “being around people who are passionate about their lives and bodies.”HER STORY
Lindy joined the SKY team after graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from SDSU. Lindy spent a semester in Paris studying… Spanish! Lindy was hired during COVID and for many months we didn’t know what she looked like without a mask (turns out that she’s a natural beauty). Lindy was hired to be a part of our front desk and quickly grew into an integral part of the team, assisting Dr. Yoo with seeing patients in clinic. On the drive home, Lindy would practice translating what she learned that day into Spanish. Her passion for creating an authentic and supportive patient experience was evident. Transitioning to our surgery coordination team was a seamless process. Lindy lives in Oceanside with her husband and cat. She loves rock climbing, being outdoors, and baking.

Lindy is one of SKY’s biggest charity supporters. She’s assisted with SKY’s support of the Country Friends and FACE Foundation. On a personal level, she assists native Spanish speakers with English language proficiency.

Alyssa provides leadership in Dr. Yoo's clinic, coordinating all aspects of patient treatments and assisting Dr. Yoo during appointments. Alyssa also helps coordinate surgeries easing nerves and lending a compassionate ear to our patients. She loves getting to know our patients and ensuring they feel comfortable and valued. “Being part of the SKY team allows me to make a real difference in our patients’ lives,” Alyssa says. “I strive to ensure every patient feels welcomed and cared for.”
HER STORY
Before joining SKY, Alyssa worked at Castle Windows and Canon Financial Services in New Jersey. In 2022, Alyssa relocated to sunny San Diego and is excited to bring her customer service expertise to the medical field. As a breast cancer survivor, Alyssa has always been passionate about helping others and is thrilled to be part of a team that values patient care as much as she does. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys exploring the beautiful beaches of San Diego and spending time with her family.

Alyssa is dedicated to giving back to the community. She has volunteered with various organizations, including local shelters and youth programs. She has also been a patient advocate for young newly diagnosed cancer patients, providing support in a way only a fellow cancer survivor could. Alyssa believes in the importance of community service and strives to make a positive impact both at work and in her personal life.

Meganne plays an important role at SKY Facial Plastic Surgery as a treatment coordinator, guiding patients through their non-surgical treatment journey. With her expertise in human biology and passion for aesthetics, she helps patients plan their next treatments to achieve that coveted SKY glow. Meganne's approach is both scientific and empathetic, ensuring patients feel comfortable and valued throughout their experience. "Being part of the SKY team allows me to combine my love for science and beauty while making a real difference in our patients' lives," Meganne says. "I strive to help every patient feel their most confident and achieve their aesthetic goals."
Her Story
Before joining SKY, Meganne earned her B.S. in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Her educational background in human biology provides a strong scientific foundation that enhances her ability to discuss treatment options with patients. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Meganne now calls sunny San Diego home. When she's not helping patients at SKY, she enjoys spending time outdoors, attending live music events, walking dogs, and immersing herself in a good book. Her love for learning and passion for aesthetics make her an invaluable asset to the SKY team and its patients.Giving Back
Meganne's commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond her work at SKY. Throughout her life, she has volunteered at no-kill animal shelters, demonstrating her compassion for all living beings. During her college years, Meganne was actively involved with Delta Delta Delta women's fraternity, where she helped plan events and fundraise for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Continuing her dedication to community service, Meganne is currently training to become a volunteer at the San Diego Zoo & Safari Park. Her volunteer efforts reflect SKY's commitment to giving back to the community and making a difference both inside and outside the clinic.

Rickie brings over a decade of medical experience to our practice working in both our surgery center and clinic. She joined the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant in 2010, and since then has explored many avenues of healthcare including clinical informatics and surgical technology! She is now Dr. Yoo’s right hand in the operating room as SKY’s Surgical Technologist since 2018.
HER STORY
Born & raised in Sacramento, CA Rickie always had a strong instinct to help others in need. Her high reliability, problem-solving mindset, and kind demeanor make her the perfect fit for her important role here at SKY. As a patient of Dr. Yoo’s herself she knows the surgical experience like no one else, and has a unique ability to provide the best surgical experience for our patients! Rickie not only assists Dr. Yoo in the OR but also helps maintain our surgery center’s accreditation, manages our inventory, and spends time in the clinic walking patients through their entire surgical journey. “I feel truly blessed to have found SKY. This is an incredible team of brilliant professionals and I am proud everyday to stand beside them and put my best effort forward. It’s not everyday that you find a job where you are excited to come to work!”
FUN FACT:
Rickie is very passionate about health & physical fitness and even spent time living in Indonesia to help open and run a gym (Empire Fit Club)! Although her coaching days are behind her, she still spends time working out for her own enjoyment and enjoys exploring San Diego, and going back to Sacramento to see family.
GIVING BACK:
“I can’t remember a time when I didn’t give back to my community”. From a young age she began working in a homeless food shelter weekly and continued on to volunteer in everything from town marathons to trash clean ups, often participating in them with her local gyms. In Indonesia she created a weekly session at a local medical clinic to teach staff members English. Currently in San Diego she volunteers in a plethora of activities, from teaching kids how to play flag football to assisting in medical skin checks on the beach for marathon runners! Always on the hunt for the next opportunity to give back.

Dr. Yoo is currently the only surgeon in San Diego County to have completed a prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University under the expert guidance of Dr. Sam Most, a renowned specialist in plastic surgery of the head and neck.
Dr. Yoo is passionate about what he does, and strives to ensure his clients feel seen and heard as individuals, so that they walk away overjoyed with the results.
When he’s not busy rejuvenating his client’s good looks, this former college soccer player loves spending time with his wife, Amber, and his dog, Hayden, indulging in a game of ping pong or tennis, and researching the latest technology.
